xScreenshot is a simple program that lets you take, edit and share screenshots.
The application offers extremely simple interface. Actually, unlike most programs it does not have main window, it sits in the tray, and allows making a capture by simply double clicking on the tray icon. After the capture is taken there opens a toolbar offering editing tools. You will be able to crop image, add arrows, lines, ellipses, and rectangles, use a pen tool, add text, change the font, its style, size and color, and set the line width, as well as delete chosen objects. Also you will be offered to save the screenshot as a file or upload it to the server, to share it further with your friends or colleagues. The program offers to share screenshots in blogs, forums, social networks, IMs/chats, or by simply providing a direct link.
From the tray menu of the program you can open the options window and exit the program. It does not offer numerous options, you can choose the output format (only PNG and JPEG formats supported), adjust its quality (from low to high), specify whether you want a screenshot to be opened automatically in the browser, and view your account access key: to share your screenshots you need to create an account on the xscreenshot.com website. The interesting thing of the program is the "Boxing" effect, which means if you click on the screenshot there will appear flaws and you will see the effect of the broken glass.
